According to the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, strikeout machine Oliver Perez could start a rehab assignment soon.
| Quote: | | Starter Oliver Perez, recovering from a broken big toe, is scheduled to pitch a three-inning simulated game this afternoon. If all goes well, he could be sent to Indianapolis to begin a rehabilitation stint. |
Don't rush him back into your lineup, though; wait and see how his first Pirates outing goes, since he struggled mightily at the start of this season. _________________ The Fool is “. . .more reasonable than most.” -- The Beagle on Dec. 22, 2005
