Rockies rookie sensation Clint Barmes fell on Sunday night while carrying groceries up a flight of stairs at his home and broke his left collarbone. He's going to miss at least three months.

This rookies more than looks like a keeper so far in an otherwise dismal year for the Rockies.

From Sportsline.com:

When asked if SS Clint Barmes, hitting a major-league-best .386 through Sunday, is the real thing or just on a hot streak, manager Clint Hurdle replied: "I was never hot for six weeks. At least not on the field. That's what got me off the field."


Barmes is the first rookie to hit .400 in his first 100 at-bats since Hal Morris did it in 1990.
