The Deal
El Amin (Making Me Pyoukilis) gets Tex 3B Hank Blalock. Junky (Constipated Pujols) gets FA SP Roger Clemens and Bos 1B/3B Kevin Youkilis.
Necessary background
Junky is in last place; also owns Garrett Atkins.
The Public Negotiation
Junky: El, any thoughts on that?
El Amin: Yeah, I don't want to do it, but if Chipper is significantly dead then I might have to. Can I keep it up there for a day or two?

The Reasoning
Junky: Atkins is better (than Blalock in our 7x5 format). Watching him play, I remembered why I didn't like him. Dude has a huge uppercut swing and looks bad against lefties. He's also batting way down in the order, so I'm not sure the RBIs will be there.
The Snap Judgements:
Father Time: I guess Junky hates the Blalock.
The Fool: In real life, I would take Blalock in a minute. In here? Gimme Atkins.
The Fool: Wow El, nice deal. Did you steal Junky's rape kit and use it on him? :Laughing:

Junky: Me neither. Unless Rocket comes back, then I think it's a great deal.

Xach: Seems to me like (Clemens) will probaby be back.
Beagle: I think he will too. Of course, two months is a long time to wait.
TiVo: Last time I heard him talk, I thought he might play ... but when and how soon he'll be in game shape are legitimate questions.
In other words, it's a good pickup for cheap. For Blalock ... well, FavreClemens better come back and Youkilis better be damn good.
